As part of the fundraising / giving governance process, there are ongoing efforts by the regulators to make sure charities meet the requirements of registration. Any regulator uses a variety of compliance activities to make sure charities are complying with national and global codes. In addition, internal stakeholders (e.g., board of regents or directors) are asking for more scrutiny over compliance with giving programs guidelines
